Doesn’t every program have one? NO. Our system is made up of a focus on high percentage technical skills and purposeful movement. We believe in drilling. We give feedback. We don’t teach fancy clinic moves that don’t work. We will teach good body positioning and movement; you can’t win without it. Wrestlers are dominant in MMA. Why? They have great fighting skills and they know how to work. We are bringing our wrestling system of technique and work to our MMA classes. Our system will emphasize the ground and pound and clinch and pound styles of fighting—takedowns plus striking and submission offense and defense. Oh, and by the way, we don’t ‘sell’ belts. Put in the time and effort and you will progress.
You’ll see it; we’ll recognize it.
Our practices are planned, intensive, and focused. We don’t waste time; we accomplish a lot in an hour where every minute counts. We have structure, not chaos (unfortunately what happens in lots of martial arts classes). Fun? Not really. (That comes when you see results).
Rewarding? Always.
Former or current athlete looking to improve your skills or cross-train in an intensive environment; our classes are for you. Want a fitness program that is intensive and can teach realistic self-defense; our classes are for you. Love watching MMA and dream of working out like the fighters; our classes are for you. Want to compete in fighting on the amateur or professional level; our team is for you. Regardless of where you are starting we can help you get where you want to go.
We are knowledgeable, trained, and passionate professionals. We believe that coaching is a profession—no, everyone can’t do it. Just because you were an athlete doesn’t qualify you to coach. Just because you love kids doesn’t qualify you to coach. Just because you have done it for a long time doesn’t qualify you to coach. Arrichion coaches are qualified.
We understand the sport. We understand how to teach.
Don’t all clubs and programs respect everyone? NO. We can’t tell you how many times we get calls from people who are frustrated because the only one getting attention in the practice room is the talented athlete. Guess what, athletes are made, not born. At Arrichion, it doesn’t matter if you are a two-legged marshmallow or a national champ. Champions are made. We respect workers. As a result, everyone improves.
There are no short-cuts. There is no quick-fix. It takes time, commitment, and the right program. At the end of the day, no matter what anyone might tell you or how trite it sounds, it’s the process that counts.
Arrichion Mixed Martial Arts training has roots in the pankration of the Ancient Olympics. The Greek version of pankration was an art in which skill was held in high esteem. It was considered the truest test of an athlete's combative ability—a combination of wrestling, boxing, kicking, striking, and submission locks. Arrichion, the man, won his fame in the great sport of pankration.
At Arrichion, we know how to get results. Check out our success stories in wrestling—66 High School State Champions, 5 National Champions, 1 Olympian, and counting; we are excited to extend that ability to get results to Mixed Martial Arts. Our unique approach to MMA training coupled with our understanding of training to win will help you get to where you want to go in MMA whether it is to ready yourself for the world stage in fighting or to condition yourself for a healthy lifestyle.
